Precision Farming (Precision Farming 3.0) is a free DLC for Farming Simulator 25 that released on May 8, 2025 as a mod.

Precision Farming 3.0

Tramlines and Subsidies

In this new and improved iteration of Precision Farming, tramlines help you plant like a pro -guiding your machinery along the same paths each time for cleaner fields and healthier crops.

If you're planting catch crops like oilseed radish, you'll get rewarded with in-game subsidies for choosing eco-friendly, nitrogen-saving methods over standard fertilizing. Just like the real deal!

PWM & Section Control

Precision Farming 3.0 also adds some cool tech: Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) - a fancy name for sprayers that can adjust output on the fly. Instead of just blasting fertilizer nonstop, PWM lets each nozzle do its own thing, pulsing out just the right amount depending on your speed or turns. That means less waste and better coverage.

We also add Automatic Section Control: Your machines will now switch individual parts on or off as needed - no more over-spraying or missing spots. It's cleaner, smarter, and better for the environment.

New Machines & Retro-Fit Sensors

You’ve got six machines to play with in this update, including the John Deere R975i sprayer and the HAWE body swap system. Ever wanted to turn a trailer into a high-end slurry tanker? Now you can with the Wienhoff 25.200 PTW Profi Line that comes with a manure sensor.

And for those of you sticking with other sprayers, you can upgrade them with Trimble WeedSeeker2 sensors to spot-spray weeds like a boss. Simply retrofit them!

About

  • Precision Farming was initiated by EIT Food, Europe’s leading Food Innovation Initiative, in cooperation with John Deere, educational institutions, and other partners.
  • Co-funded by the European Union, the initial goal was meant to highlight sustainable technology in agriculture to create awareness in the general population.
  • Farming Simulator was basically offering itself as a vehicle to transport the awareness of sustainable farming, reaching millions of players world-wide.
  • Other partners of the project: The University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (UK), Grupo AN (the largest cereal cooperative in Spain), and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences.

Description (as a mod)

Farming Simulator 25 gets a substantial boost in realism with new features and in-depth gameplay mechanics. With Precision Farming 3.0, the continuation of an initially EU-financed project to promote sustainable farming technology, we add even more features and machines. Precision Farming 3.0 also includes all the features of previous versions.

Tramlines and Subsidies

Tramlines help you to guide machinery along predetermined tracks on the ground for more precise field management and crop growth. When planting catch crops like oilseed radish, Precision Farming 3.0 rewards you with subsidies to make nitrogen-saving planting more attractive than conventional fertilizing - just like in real farming.

Pulse Wide Modulation & Section Control

Fine-tune sprayer settings using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), which adjusts fertilizer output for smoother application, greater efficiency, and reduced environmental impact.

More Machines & Retro-Fit Sensors

Six machines are featured in Precision Farming 3.0. New additions include the John Deere R975i trailed field sprayer and the HAWE body swap system to use with the Wienhoff 25.200 PTW Profi Line slurry tanker. Additionally, existing sprayers can be retrofitted with Trimble WeedSeeker2 sensors for smart spot spraying of weeds.
