Case IH Axial-Flow 9230/Farming Simulator 17

The Case IH Axial-Flow 9230 is a Harvester available in Farming Simulator 17. It is a Large harvester, with enough Crop Capacity to comfortably work with high-yield crops, like Wheat, Barley and Corn. The Axial-Flow 9230 is the only harvester whose wheels can be customized, and the only harvester with a long overloading pipe. Unfortunately, it is also rather slow.

Advantages

• Long Pipe: The Axial-Flow 9230 the one only harvester in the base game that has a long overloading pipe - enabling it to be serviced by any Tipper in the game without problems.
• Customizable Wheels: The Axial-Flow 9230 is the only harvester whose wheels can be customized. Unfortunately, neither of the options will significantly assist the harvester in its work - it is not fast enough to require stability upgrades, and it is already powerful enough to tow any equipment attached to it without slipping.

Disadvantages

• Somewhat Slow: While not the slowest harvester available, the Axial-Flow 9230 is slower than average, with a maximum speed of only 27 km/h / 16 mph. It is also too large to fit on the only Low Loader available in the game, which means that this harvester needs to move itself from field to field at this slow pace.

Customization

Wheel Setup

• Standard: A basic set of wheels.
• Front Twin Wheels (+$8,000): Replaces the wheels on the forward axle with two pairs of narrower wheels (two on each side of the harvester). This increases stability by a small amount - but even without this upgrade the harvester is already stable enough for the type of work it needs to do...
• Crawler Track (+$22,000): Replaces the front wheels and axle with a pair of caterpillar tracks. While this allows the harvester to brake almost instantaneously, this upgrade also reduces its maximum speed to 20 km/h / 12 mph. Overall, the upgrade may not be worth the high cost - though it is certainly cool-looking.
