Crops

Crops are the main commodities in any given version of Farming Simulator. They include any cultivated plant that is sown and harvested by the player as food. With every new game release, new crop being added. Grass is also included in the crops category that can be mowed with the mower.

Wheat and Grass are the first crops introduced since Farming Simulator 08. Farming Simulator 09 introduced three new grain crops: barley, canola and corn. Farming Simulator 13 introduced root crops with only potatoes and sugar beets. Farming Simulator 17 introduced sunflowers and soybeans as a new grain crops, alongside with a poplar which can be harvested with a New Holland FR 850 forage harvester, and oilseed radish, which only used for fertilizer level increasing using cultivator. Platinum Edition of the game added sugarcane crop which can be harvested with a Case IH A8800 Multi-Row or Lizard SWT 7 harvesters. Farming Simulator 19 added oats and cotton, cotton requires special Case IH Module Express 635 harvester. Farming Simulator 22 added sorghum grain crop, alongside with a grapes and olives, which can be harvested with a New Holland Braud harvesters. Premium Edition of the game added carrots, parsnips and red beets, which can be harvested with a special Dewulf harvester. Farming Simulator 25 introduces rice cultivation with a new rice and long grain rice crops, alongside with a spinach and 2 other unannounced crops. Base rice requires Iseki HJ6130 harvester, long grain rice requires general combine harvester, spinach requires Oxbo MKB-4TR harvester, peas require Oxbo EPD540e harvester, and green beans require Oxbo BP2140e harvester.
