The Thunder Creek FST 990 is a type of Fuel Tanker in Farming Simulator 17. It is the only such tool available in the base game. It is fairly light, and can be towed by light vehicles. Its capacity makes it excellent for most or all of your field-refueling needs.
Advantages
- Cheap: The FST 990 costs only $8,500 to purchase. The low price makes it affordable during the early game: You can pull it using your starting Car, and it can save a lot of time refueling your slow early-game vehicles.
- Good Capacity: The FST 990 can hold up to 3,750 liters of Fuel, which can completely refill a small Tractor several dozen times over.
- Light: The FST 990 weighs close to 2 tons when empty, and only 3.5 tons when full of Fuel. This is light enough to be towed by a Car, even without expensive engine upgrades. This allows it to be moved around the map very quickly - much faster than it would take to bring most vehicles back to a Gas Station.
Disadvantages
- None: Although it really has no competition in the base game to be compared against, the FST 990 is really quite suitable for its job.
