The Case IH 3412 12R is a Harvesting Header available in Farming Simulator 17. It is one of three large-sized Corn/Sunflower headers in the base game. The 3412 12R is a rigid-body Header - it cannot fold like its competitors. It has no other qualities that make it better than its competitors either - making it a poor model in comparison.

Advantages

• None: Compared to other 9.0 meter Corn/Sunflower Headers, the 3412 12R has no advantages. It is inferior in pretty much every way to the Capello Diamant HS12, including being more expensive. It is unclear why the developers thought there would be any reason to purchase this model.

Disadvantages

• Needlessly Expensive: The 3412 12R costs $1,000 more than the Capello Diamant HS12, while having several disadvantages and no advantages over it. It also has a higher Maintenance Cost per Day.
• No Folding: Unlike both of its competitors, the 3412 12R does not have a hydraulic folding mechanism. Without folding, it may need to be mounted on a Header Trailer for easy transport from place to place.
• Huge Power Consumption: The 3412 12R consumes 150 kW/ 203 hp from a Harvester when turned on. This makes it difficult (if not impossible) to use with smaller Harvesters.
