The Goldhofer STZ-VP 3 is a type of Low Loader in Farming Simulator 17. Of the two available Low Loaders in the base game, it has a wider main platform, which can support slightly wider vehicles. Its platform is loaded by splitting apart the STZ-VP 3, allowing vehicles to drive onto the platform very easily. The whole platform can be extended by more than 50% of its default length, to support longer vehicles.
Advantages
- Wide Main Platform: The STZ-VP 3's main platform is 3.1 meters wide, which is wide enough to carry most vehicles. Only very large vehicles, such as Large-class Harvesters, cannot fit all of their wheels on this platform.
- Split Platform Loading: The STZ-VP 3 is actually made up of two separate pieces: The front section (attached to the towing vehicle) and the platform itself. To load vehicles unto the STZ-VP 3, it is necessary to detach the platform from the front section, causing it to fall to the ground and extend two small ramps. When detached, the platform is practically lying on the ground, and vehicles can easily climb onto it at almost any angle. When the vehicle is loaded, re-attach the front section to the platform, and you're ready to go.
- Telescopic Main Platform: When the STZ-VP 3 is attached to a vehicle, it's possible to extend the platform by another 4.5 meters using a special key combination

This allows the STZ-VP 3 to reach a length of around 12.0 meters, which is sufficient to carry virtually any vehicle in the game, or many smaller vehicles. Note, however, that the extended portion is not a solid surface, but rather a pair of flat horizontal rails.
- Truly Low: The STZ-VP 3's platform is truly low to the ground, hugging the road very closely. This gives the loaded vehicle very good stability, reducing the chance of it flying off. On the other hand, this also means that the STZ-VP 3 needs to stick to very flat roads and terrain in order not to get stuck on it.
Disadvantages
- Inaccessible Secondary Platforms: The STZ-VP 3 has two secondary platforms - one on the Front Section, and one just rear of the Main Platform. Neither of these secondary platforms has any ramp leading up to it. Only vehicles with very large wheels can climb on to the rear platform, and only tools can be placed on the front platform.
