Grimme KS 75-4/Farming Simulator 17

The Grimme KS 75-4 is a type of Potato Haulm Topper in Farming Simulator 17. It is the only stand-alone Haulm Topper in the game, but has direct competition with the Grimme Tectron 415, a type of Potato Combine Harvester. Of these two, the KS 75-4 is far cheaper. The KS 75-4 can be coupled with the Grimme SE 260 to perform both Potato harvesting tasks simultaneously.
Advantages
- Cheap: The KS 75-4 costs only $9,000. Compare this with the Grimme Tectron 415, which costs $429,000. Of course, if you want to perform all functions of the Tectron 415, you must purchase the KS 75-4 together with a Grimme SE 260 for an extra $112,000, as well as a suitable Tractor to pull both machines (assuming you don't already own one).
Disadvantages
- Haulm Topping Only: The KS 75-4's only function is to cut the haulms off a Potato crop. It does not collect the Potatos from the ground. For that you need a Grimme SE 260. Fortunately, you can attach both of these tools together to a single Tractor, cutting the haulms and collecting the potatoes in a single go.
- Slightly Narrower: The KS 75-4 has a Working Width of 3.1 meters, which is 0.1 meters less than the Grimme Tectron 415. On the other hand, this difference is rather negligible considering the huge price disparity between these two tools.
Other Notes
The KS 75-4 has a Three-point hitch, and can potentially be attached to either the front or rear of a Tractor. It works fine when mounted on either side of the Tractor, but it is easier to use when mounted on the front.
Nonetheless, if you want to use a KS 75-4 together with a Grimme SE 260, the KS 75-4 must be attached to the front of the tractor (because the SE 260 can only be attached to the rear).
