Grimme TC 80-16/Farming Simulator 17

The Grimme TC 80-16 is a Conveyor Belt piece available in Farming Simulator 17. Specifically it is a Horizontal Belt, and the only one of its kind in the base game. Materials entering this belt on one end (the input end) will travel all the way to the other end (the output end) to be spilled onto the next conveyor belt piece. The total distance and angle of the movement is highly adjustable, and can exceed 20.0 meters if necessary.

Advantages

• Long Belt: As a Horizontal Belt, the TC 80-16 is designed to move materials over a long horizontal distance. The TC 80-16 is comprised of two straight belt pieces, around 10.0 meters each. Materials riding the belt will automatically move from one section to the other. When fully extended, the total length of the belt is around 20.0 meters.

You can then move the TC 80-16, albeit at a very slow speed. This is typically used to adjust the TC 80-16's position, rather than to move it from place to place.
• Can Be Chained: You may chain several TC 80-16s to one another, allowing you to construct very long Conveyor Belts that can move materials across a considerable distance.

Disadvantages

• Low: Neither of the TC 80-16's extreme ends can be raised to a height higher than around 1.5 meters off the ground. This means that the belt cannot load materials into most machines and containers. To raise materials high enough for that task, you need to attach a Vertical Belt to the TC 80-16's output point.
• Not Self-Loading: The TC 80-16 cannot load its own materials in most cases. To load from Piles on the ground, it needs to be hooked up to a Pickup Belt. Otherwise, a Loader or other machine will need to dump materials directly onto the TC 80-16's input node. Pallets are the exception: Placing a valid type of Pallet next to the TC 80-16's input node will cause the materials to be loaded automatically onto the belt.
