The Horsch Terrano 5 FM is a Cultivator available in Farming Simulator 15. It is the second-smallest Cultivator in the game. It is designed to prepare fields for sowing. The Terrano 5 FM is the smallest Cultivator that can fold itself for easier transport.

Overview

The Terrano 5 FM is the second-smallest and second-cheapest Cultivator in the game. While the Terrano 5 FM is 50% wider than its smaller counterpart, the Kockerling Trio 300 M, it is also significantly heavier.

The Terrano 5 FM is an array of metal blades, wheels and spikes, suspended under a metal frame. It has two sets of wheels to support itself off the ground. The entire device can fold into an easy-to-transport configuration. When this device is unfolded, lowered, and towed across a field, it will churn and smooth the soil it passes over, leaving it suitable for seeding.

The Terrano 5 FM has a Three-point hitch at the front, which can be attached to any tractor in the game. When attached this way and lowered, the Terrano 5 FM will plow any soil it passes over. It will destroy crops as it passes, no matter what growth stage they are in. It does not remove any fertilizer that may still be in the ground. The cultivated ground may then be seeded with any crop.

The Terrano 5 FM does not need any power to operate, even though the shop claims that it requires 151 kW / 205 hp. However, this can be seen as a suggested power for its towing tractor, because the Terrano 5 FM is simply too heavy to be operated by a smaller tractor - it will become almost immobile once its blades dig into the ground. Even a mid-sized tractor may require a Weight attached to its front side, to balance the weight of the Terrano 5 FM. While working, the Terrano 5 FM enforces a speed limit of 17 km/h.

The working width of the Terrano 5 FM is 4.5 meters. Its size and width make it a little less reliable than the Kockerling Trio 300 M in ensuring that no piece of the field goes unworked, but it is still quite reliable.
