JCB Universal Shovel/Farming Simulator 17

The JCB Universal Shovel is a Loading Tool available in Farming Simulator 17. It is a type of Bucket that can be fitted only to Skid Steer Loaders. It is one of the smaller Buckets in the game, but its size makes it well-suited for Animal Husbandry or other small-scale shoveling jobs.

Advantages

• Small: The width of the JCB Universal Shovel makes it good at working in cramped conditions, such as those found around Animal pens. This makes it good for the small-scale work required when tending animals.
• Cheap: The JCB Universal Shovel is very cheap for its size.

Disadvantages

• Low Capacity: The JCB Universal Shovel can lift only a small amount of material with each scoop. It is not suitable for heavy work, such as shoveling large piles or working with Silage.
• Incorrect Work Width: Due to a programming error, the width of the JCB Universal Shovel's physical model does not correspond to the width of its pickup area. The model itself is about 3m wide, while its pick-up area is only 2.5m wide.
• Skid-Steer-only Attachment: The JCB Universal Shovel can only be attached to a Skid Steer Loader. Skid Steers tend to be light and unstable, and can easily tip over if you lift the bucket up high in the air, or make sharp turns. There is no way to counter-balance a Skid Steer with Weights.
