The Kuhn GA 9531 is a type of Windrower in Farming Simulator 17.
Description
The Kuhn GA 9531 is a medium-width Windrower, whose width roughly matches that of a Double Mower. It is most effective when combined with three mower heads on the same tractor - collecting all three mower trails into one windrow during every mowing pass.
Advantages
- Great for Mower/Windrower Combo: The GA 9531's Working Width is 9.3 meters, which is very close to the working width of Double Mowers. If attached to the back of a Tractor carrying a Double Mower and Center Mower, the mowers will produce three trails of grass which will be immediately merged together into a single Windrow. A wider Windrower would not improve this effect. Therefore, the GA 9531 is the most cost-effective model for this type of combo action.
- Folding: When not in use, the GA 9531 can fold itself from a width of 9.3 meters to about 3.0 meters, for transit and storage.
Disadvantages
- Not Widest: The GA 9531 is 5.0 meters narrower than the Lely Hibiscus 1515 CD Profi. While the GA 9531's width is very suitable for Mower/Windrower combos (see "Advantages", above), it is less effective than the Hibiscus 1515 at collecting Hay after a Tedder pass, and cannot accomplish Straw Swath merging in the wake of a very large Harvester.
