The Lizard R 5000 is a type of Roller in Farming Simulator 17. It is the only model of Roller in the base game, and no other tool can perform the same job. Fortunately, it is quite a decent tool for erasing fields, if a bit narrow.
Advantages
- Cheap: The R 5000 is very cheap, and barely has any Maintenance Cost. You can purchase it early on to manage your field shapes.
- Precise: It is very easy to place the Working Area of the R 5000 exactly where you need it. This is mainly thanks to the rigid attachment, which keeps the tool aligned perfectly with the Tractor carrying it. The R 5000's narrow width also makes this easier.
- Front Mount: The R 5000 can be mounted on either the front or back of a Tractor, and works fine in either position. Mounting the R 5000 on the front of the tractor gives much finer control of where it goes, since it is closer to the steering axle this way.
Disadvantages
- Narrow: The R 5000's Working Width is only 3.0 meters. Erasing a large section of field (or an entire field) can take a long time. Unfortunately, the base game does not offer any wider tools for this job.
- Does not return grass if you roll over a meadow you plowed earlier it returns to meadow but no longer has grass on it.
