New Holland T9/Farming Simulator 17

The New Holland T9 is a Tractor available in Farming Simulator 17. It is the "smallest" of the super-large tractors, as powerful as a Semi-Trailer Truck and capable of operating a super-heavy Plow with little difficulty. The T9 is a cheap option for a super-heavy tractor, but offers no real advantages over other tractors of its size category.

Advantages

• Cheap: Compared to other super-large tractors, the T9 is a little cheaper in its default setup. With its engine upgrade, it surpasses any non-upgraded super-large tractor in power while still remaining competitive in price.

Disadvantages

• Articulated: The T9 has an articulated body - The cabin and engine sections rotate relative to one another whenever the vehicle turns. This can make driving more difficult and confusing, and makes it more difficult to quickly hitch up to a trailer or implement.
• Poor Acceleration: The T9 is the heaviest tractor in the base game, while its engine is not nearly the strongest. This gives it overall poor acceleration, which can negatively impact its ability to tow heavy tippers and implements.
• Only One Engine Upgrade: The T9's engine upgrade is cheap and very effective, but with only one such upgrade the vehicle doesn't even come close to the maximum potential power output of other super-large tractors.
• No Front Three-point Hitch: Like all other super-large tractors, the T9's only Three-point hitch attachment is at the back.
• No Rear Bolt Attachment: The T9's only Drawbar (Bolt) attachment point is at the front.

Customization

Engine Setup

• T9.480: No change to engine power.
• T9.565 (+$44,000 and +$88/d): Increases engine power output to 410 kW / 557 hp, surpassing any non-upgraded super-large tractor in strength, while costing only slightly more than such a tractor.

Wheel Setup

• Standard: A set of basic wheels.
• Wheel Weights (+$1,800): Attaches heavy weights to the rims of the each of the tractor's wheels. Acts as two built-in Weights - one on each articulated section of the tractor.
• Twin Wheels (+$6,000): Replaces all of the vehicle's standard wheels with four pairs of slightly-narrower wheels. This gives a moderate increase in the tractor's stability and width over the "Standard" option.
