Pöttinger Novacat 301 ED/Farming Simulator 17

The Pöttinger Novacat 301 ED is a type of Mower in Farming Simulator 17. It is one of two models of Center Mowers available in the base game, and is the cheapest and narrowest one by a very small margin. It cuts grass directly in front of (or behind) the tractor.

Advantages

• Cheaper: The Novacat 301 ED is the cheaper of the two Center Mowers in the game, at only $1,000 less than the Lely Splendimo 320 FC.
• No Offset: As a Center Mower, the Novacat 301 ED has no offset - it will cut what's directly in the path of your tractor. This makes it exceptionally easy to use, and gives it good precision. Furthermore, it means that this Mower can be used in conjunction with a Loading Wagon to cut the Grass and immediately collect it.
• Lower Power Consumption: The Novacat 301 ED only consumes 34 Horsepower, making it easier to use this Mower on smaller (and cheaper) Tractors, especially when also using a Loading Wagon. This can come in handy during the early game, when you do not yet own powerful tractors.
• Direction-Independent: The Novacat 301 works pretty much the same whether attached to either the front or rear of your Tractor. This allows using the Novacat 301 in all sorts of Mower combinations.

Disadvantages

• Narrower: The Novacat 301 ED is 0.1 meters narrower than the Lely Splendimo 320 FC. This is an extremely minor disadvantage.
