Potatoes/Farming Simulator 22
Potatoes are a root Crops like Sugar Beet. They are very high yielding but pay a low price per liter. They also use specialized planting and harvesting equipment.
Planting
Planting is done with a Potato Planter this piece of equipment is used only for planting potatoes. The potatoes are planted in rows. Seeds can be used but is very costly as the seed usage is 3800l/ha, the better option is to use potatoes from the last harvest as the seeds for the next.
Harvesting
Harvesting is done with a specialized harvester, there are two types, trailed or self propelled. The storage in these harvesters are very limited therefore a second tractor/helper will be required to continuously empty the harvester.
Post Harvest
After harvest the field must be Plowed otherwise a penalty will be given for the next harvest.
