The Valtra T Series is a Tractor available in Farming Simulator 17. It is a strong medium tractor capable of working with both small and medium implements. The T Series' primary advantages include a large variety of good upgrades as well as Valtra's signature Reverse Drive Control feature. Its only real drawback is the lack of a second engine upgrade, which is common among other tractors of its size.
Advantages
- Powerful Engine Upgrade: The T Series can only take one engine upgrade, but it is a very powerful (and relatively cheap) upgrade. It makes the T Series unmatched in strength with any non-upgraded tractor of its class and price range, and allows it to operate all medium machinery with ease.
- Reverse Drive Control: The T Series is fitted with Valtra's signature Reverse Drive Control feature, which enables it to switch its driving direction - and then go as fast in reverse as it would forwards.
- Fast Reverse: Even without Reverse Drive Control activated, the T Series has an impressive top speed when driving backwards. This makes it highly useful for jobs that require going back-and-forth constantly, such as when working with a bucket or palette fork.
- Plenty of Customization: The T Series accepts a wide variety of modifications for all sorts of purposes. Both the tractor body and wheel rims can be repainted in any color.
Disadvantages
- No Second Engine Upgrade: Unlike other tractors of its size category, the T Series' engine can only be upgraded once. This means that other tractors can achieve a higher horsepower if money is invested in their upgrades, leaving the T Series behind. Nonetheless, its first engine upgrade does give it enough horsepower to operate medium machinery very comfortably - but it will struggle with heavy machinery.
Customization
Front Loader Attacher
- No: Can't install a Front Loading Arm attachment.
- Yes (+$800): Adds a Front Loading Arm attachment point at the front of the tractor.
Engine Setup
- T194: No change to engine power.
- T234 (+$20,000 and +$40/d): Increases engine power output to 184 kW / 250 hp, out-performing a non-upgraded Case IH Puma CVX in both power and purchase cost, and allowing the tractor to operate medium field implements with ease.
