Animal husbandry is a recurring element of the Farming Simulator series.

List of Animals

Animal Husbandry update of Farming Simulator 25

In Farming Simulator 25, two new animals were added to the game - Water Buffalos and Goats, which are the great addition for milk production. These animals produce new types of milk that can be processed and used in production chains to acquire and distribute fine cheeses.

Besides that, animals in Farming Simulator 25 get offspring. After offspring, baby animals appear in the pens and they roam it. Increasing the cuteness factor and fluffiness of the fur, animals produce offspring. Wobbling on their tiny legs at first, animal farmers watch them grow into productive livestock. The addition to animal offspring was revealed at Gamescom 2024.

Highlands Fishing Expansion adds new animal types - Highland Cattle.

Reasons why to have animals

  • They make your farm more lively.
  • They diversify your farming experience.
  • They generate additional income in various ways.
  • They give you something to do during winter.
  • They produce resources for production chains, like eggs.
  • They produce manure - a cheap, organic fertilizer.
  • They allow you to discover the land by riding horses.
  • They can increase the yield of your crops.

Dynamic Pastures

To provide animal farmers more control over the pens, you can customize them by changing colors, adding solar panels, and, more importantly, draw the fences yourself. Customize the layout to create any shape you want, and build pastures around obstacles or occupied space!

Animal Variety

Thanks to the animalistic offspring as well as Water Buffalos and Goats joining with Farming Simulator 25, you can expect your animal farm to get way more lively and colorful.

Animals start their life as tiny newborns, then become juvenile, and ultimately productive adults. Let's take a look at what each animal provides and what you can do with it.

Trivia

  • In Farming Simulator 25, animals also spawn as a starting ones:
    • Riverbend Springs starter farm features small cow pasture with cows.
    • Zielonka starter farm features chicken pen with chickens, like it was in Farming Simulator 22.
  • Water Buffalos can be bought for cow pastures and Goats can be born for sheep pens. There are no separate animal pens for these two new animals.
