Cows are a type of animal in Farming Simulator 22. Cows are the most complex type of animal to care for in Farming Simulator. At the very beginning of animal husbandry, you might want to start with Chickens or Sheep.

Description

In Farming Simulator 22, there are cows that do produce Milk and cows that don't. Brown-Swiss and Holstein breeds are dairy cows. Angus and Limousin breeds do not and are only used for breeding. You sell them for a profit.

Housing

Cows need somewhere to live there are three options: pastures, barns and barns with robots.

A cow pasture costs €75,000 and holds 15 cows. It requires water and food and produces only milk.

A cow barn costs €254,000 and holds 45 cows. It requires only food and produces milk, Slurry and Manure. It will hold 56,250l of Slurry.

A cow barn large costs €518,000 and holds 80 cows, requirements and output are the same for all barns.

A cow barn with robot costs €722,500 and holds 80, with this barn there is no need for a Mixer Wagon just deliver the ingredients.

Feeding

Cows need food which comes in 3 forms Total Mixed Ration(TMR), Grass or Hay.

TMR is the most effective with 100% productivity, hay is the second best at 80% and grass is the least productive at only 40%.

The cow barn can hold 33,750l of food.

The cow barn (large) can hold 60,000l of food.

The cow barn with feeding robot can hold 60,000l of food.
