Farming Simulator 22 is a farming simulator game developed and published by GIANTS Software. It is the latest game in the Farming Simulator series and was released on November 22nd, 2021. The latest version of the game, 1.14.1.0 is out on April 25, 2024.

Description

Whether you create a lush vineyard or an olive orchard in the Mediterranean south of France, a vast farmland full of wheat, corn, potatoes and cotton in the US-Midwest or a lively animal farm in the hilly landscape of the European Alpine region: More than 400 machines and tools from over 100 real agricultural brands like Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra and many more are available for your farm.

Farming Simulator 22 brings a multitude of new gameplay features and offers more content and player freedom than ever before, including new ground working features like mulching or stone picking, an improved build-mode adding greenhouses and beehives, as well as a new character creator to bring your own, individual farmer to life.

A large variety of free community-created modifications, officially tested by the developer GIANTS Software, will extend your farming experience many times over. Rise to the challenges of becoming a successful farmer, start farming and let the good times grow!"

Features

Farming Simulator 22 introduces multiple changes and features beyond previous versions of the game.

Crops
  • In Farming Simulator 22 there are 16 types of crops: Wheat, Barley, Canola, Sunflowers, Soybeans, Corn, Oat, Sorghum, Oilseed Radish, Potatoes, Sugar Beet, Poplars, Grapes, Olives, Sugarcane and Cotton.

Premium expansion introduced three new types of crops: Carrots, Parsnips and Red Beet.

Maps

With a release of Platinum Expansion, 1 new map was added to the game: Silverrun Forest. The HORSCH AgroVation Pack added the new HORSCH AgroVation map and the Premium Expansion added Zielonka.

  • The game is released on 22 November 2021 on all platforms. The game features over 400 machines, 3 maps (Elmcreek, Haut-Beyleron and Erlengrat).
    • CLAAS XERION SADDLE TRAC Pack is a pre-order bonus and released in same date.
    • GIANTS Bonus Bundle includes Zetor Z-25K, Fendt 900 Vario Black Beauty and Mack Trucks Black Anthem 6x4 and released in same date.
  • Patch 1.2 released on 16 December 2021 and added 16 machines, e.g. Case IH Quadtrac AFS Connect Series, Landini Serie 7 Robo-Six.
  • Patch 1.3 released on 24 February 2022 and added 8 machines, e.g. Ploeger AT5104 LMNS.
  • Antonio Carraro Pack released on 22 March 2022 and added 10 Antonio Carraro tractors, that are perfect for grape and olive farming.
  • Patch 1.4 released on 19 April 2022 and added 7 machines, e.g. CLAAS XERION 5000-4500, Jungheinrich ETV 216i.

  • Patch 1.7.1 is released on 6 September 2022 and added Valtra A Series, Valtra N Series, Valtra T Series and Valtra Q Series.
    • As well, Pumps n'Hoses Pack is released on 27 September 2022 and added over 30 machines and tools by Schouten, Stallkamp, BvL and 2G.
    • ERO Grapeliner Series 7000 is a bonus grape harvester. On September 2022, a beacon light is now avaiable as buyable in stores.
  • Porsche Diesel Junior 108 is released on 27 October 2022.
  • The biggest expansion, Platinum Expansion is released on 15 November 2022 and added over 40 machines and new map: Silverrun Forest.
    • The Platinum Edition includes base game + Platinum Expansion that includes over 40 machines, e.g. Volvo L200H High Lift.
  • Year 2 Season Pass is released on 6 December 2022. 4 packs, big expansion and BM-Volvo LM 845 will be released in 2023.
  • Patch 1.9 was released on 14 March 2023.
  • The GÖWEIL Pack is released on 21 March 2023 and added 9 new baling equipment, including the new stationary baling function.
  • Patch 1.9.1, alongside with a Pumps n'Hoses Pack v1.3.1 released on 25 April 2023:
    • Patch 1.9.1 for FS22 introduced Massey Ferguson MF 6S and Massey Ferguson MF 7S, alongside with the new Massey Ferguson and Fendt balers.
    • Pumps n'Hoses Pack v1.3.0 with a new Schouten G400-15 and Schouten G400-25, alongside with a Gollmer und Hummel brand and Lizard weighting Station Container.
  • Patch 1.10 introduced the new Arena Mode. It is released on 12 June 2023. Besides that, the New Holland CR10.90 Revelation was added to the game.
  • The Hay & Forage Pack is released on 13 June 2023 and added 17 new machines for grass working.
  • Patch 1.11 released before the HORSCH AgroVarion Pack release.
  • The HORSCH AgroVation Pack released on 25 July 2023 and added 14 new tools by HORSCH.
  • Patch 1.12 released on 3 August 2023 and added new HORSCH outfit.
  • The OXBO Pack will be released on 19 September 2023 and will add 4 new machines by OXBO.
  • Patch 1.13.1 is out on 9 November 2023.
  • The Case IH Farmall Anniversary Pack is released on 10 November 2023 with two new Case IH tractors.
  • The second biggest expansion, the Premium Expansion, is released on 14 November 2023 and added the new map - Zielonka with a new carrots, parnsnips and red beet crops.
  • Patch 1.13.1.1 is out on 18 January 2024.
  • Patch 1.14.1.0 is out on 25 April 2024, and the Farm Production Pack DLC is out on 30 April 2024.
