Crossplay is a feature in Farming Simulator 22 multiplayer.

Description

Crossplay allows the user to play with other Farming Simulator 22 players across multiple platforms. This means you can play with any of the following systems:

  • PC
  • Mac
  • PlayStation 5
  • Xbox Series X/S
  • PlayStation 4
  • Xbox One
  • Stadia

Maximum Players

If the server host is on PC up to 16 players are supported but if the host is on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Stadia up to 6 players are supported. If using a dedicated server host up to 16 players is possible regardless of system.

Disabling Cross Play

Crossplay can be disabled by using filters, you can also filter by system so as to not join another platform.

Crossplay can be disabled on Xbox and Playstation in the system user preferences, make sure to allow crossplay for the console user to make this feature available in-game.

Cross saving is not possible

DLC

Every player has to have the same content (DLCs and/or mods) installed as the server host. Otherwise, players with missing content can't join the server. Console users can only join servers with mods that are available through the official ModHub on consoles. Stadia users can only join servers with no mods activated.

Slot Counts

The host platform determines the initial slot count. If a player joins with a lower slot count then they will set a new slot limit for all players based on their platform. If the server is already using more slots than the player joining can support they will not be able to join the server.

Voice and Text chat

Voice and text chat is available, but text chat is limited to only PC but console players will be able to read it but not respond.
