First debuting in Farming Simulator 19, John Deere features the John Deere 6M Series, John Deere 6R Series, John Deere 7R Series, John Deere 8R Series and John Deere 8RT Series tractors, John Deere T560 (with John Deere 625X header and John Deere 608C corn header) and John Deere S790 (with John Deere 645 FD header and John Deere 618C corn header) harvesters, John Deere Pick Up 900, John Deere Pick Up 1150 and John Deere Pick Up 1800 weights and John Deere 643R front loader attachment. Besides, John Deere has been expanded in the game - the game also introduced the John Deere 9000 Series forage harvester from Kemper Pack mod and John Deere 6M Series with a John Deere 603R front loader tool for it in certified mods by GIANTS Software, which later returned for Farming Simulator 22, the John Deere Cotton Pack featured the John Deere CP690 cotton harvester, and the Bourgault DLC featured the one more tractor - the John Deere 9RX Series. John Deere Gator added the John Deere XUV865M pickup car.
In Farming Simulator 20, John Deere features the John Deere 6250R and John Deere 8400R tractors, John Deere T560 harvester with its attachments - the John Deere 625X header and John Deere 608C corn header. John Deere has been expanded in the content updates - for the first time, the John Deere 9620RX tractor, John Deere S790 harvester with its attachments - the John Deere 645 FD header and John Deere 618C corn header have been added to the game, and then the John Deere CP690 cotton harvester has been added.
In Farming Simulator 22, John Deere features the John Deere 6M Series, John Deere 7810, John Deere 4755, John Deere 6R Series, John Deere 7R Series, John Deere 8R Series, John Deere 8RT Series, John Deere 8RX Series, John Deere 9R Series, John Deere 9RT Series and John Deere 9RX Series tractors, John Deere T560 harvester with its attachments - the John Deere 625X header and John Deere 608C corn header, alongside with a new harvester, the John Deere X9 1100, which has two main headers - the John Deere HD45X and John Deere HD50F, and the John Deere C16F corn header. John Deere 9000 Series forage harvester also included with a John Deere 639 Premium chopped grass pick up and John Deere 345 Plus, John Deere 360 Plus, John Deere 375 Plus and John Deere 390 Plus corn cutters. Also, the John Deere CP690 cotton harvester returns, alongside with a John Deere XUV865M pickup car. Besides, John Deere features tools - the John Deere 1175NT planter is included, and the John Deere 603R front loader tool for 6M, John Deere 643R front loader tool for 6R and the John Deere 700M front loader tool for 7R are included. In Farming Simulator 23, vehicles by John Deere are John Deere 6120M, John Deere 4755, John Deere 7R 310 and John Deere 8R 410 tractors and John Deere X9 1100 harvester with a John Deere HD50F header with a John Deere C16F corn header. John Deere 8R 410 can be unlocked on mobile devices as in-app purchase for real money.
John Deere also featured in Farming Simulator 16 as a part of update that is released on 3 November 2023. In this game, John Deere features only one tractor - the John Deere 7230R.
In Farming Simulator 18, the brand is featured as a part of 1.5.0 update that is released on 7 February 2024. In this game, John Deere features only one tractor - the John Deere 8245R.
The brand is also featured in Farming Simulator Kids, which only being brand featured in the game. All John Deere vehicles featured in the game are unnamed. There are a car, a tractor, a combine harvester, a gator, a cultivator, and a seeder. Forest Pack added wheeled and tracked feller buncher.

- John Deere 710, 3650, 7810 and 4755 are only classic John Deere tractors in the series.
- Besides, John Deere 6R, 9R, 9RT and 9RX series were successed in real-life by the same tractors but 2021-2022 variants, and CP690 was successed by CP770 and CS770 cotton harvesters. Newer variants of 7R and 8R/RT (8RX was produced with new 8R) made its debut in FS22, and newer variants of 6R and 9R/RX Series made its debut in Farming Simulator 25.
- John Deere fictionally appears in Farming Simulator 09 and Farming Simulator 11 - the Lizard 2850 tractor is based on the John Deere 3130 tractor.
- John Deere CP690 is only cotton harvester that makes round cotton bales.
- It is also one of the cotton harvesters in the series which made its debut in Farming Simulator 19 as a part of John Deere Cotton DLC. Case IH Module Express 635 and John Deere CP690 are only cotton harvesters in the series.
- John Deere also has its manure sensor for slurry tanks featured in Precision Farming DLC.
- In Precision Farming DLC for FS19, FS22 and FS25, John Deere plays one of its main roles.

- Previously, John Deere 6R Series (145-185) tractor was known as John Deere 6R 175-215, and John Deere RDF35 grain header was known as John Deere RD35F.
- The John Deere 6R 175-215 was planned to have 223-259 hp power.
- The John Deere RD35F grain header for S7 had the same characteristics as the current RDF35.
- As of Patch 1.6 for Farming Simulator 25, there are two John Deere 6R Series tractors - the John Deere 6R Series (145-185), which is featured since game release (filename: series6RLarge), and the John Deere 6R Series (230-250), which added in update 1.6 (filename: series6RExtraLarge).
- 6R 145-185 is called in files series6RLarge because it is mostly used to be utility tractor, and 6R 230-250 is called in files series6RExtraLarge because it is mostly used as a row-crop medium tractor.
- Since Patch 1.6 for FS25, John Deere tractor transmissions now have unique names:
- For John Deere 6R Series 145-185 since Patch 1.6, its CVT transmission now called AUTOPOWR IVT.
- For John Deere 8R, 8RT and 8RX Series since Patch 1.6 with their maximised engines (8R/RT/RX 410) since Patch 1.7, their Powershift transmission now called eAutoPowr.
- Althrough John Deere transmissions have unique names (ProDrive XL for X9, AUTOPOWR IVT for 6R 145-185, eAutoPowr for 8R/RT/RX 410), Case IH has no unique transmission names in the info section, althrough CVXDrive and PowerDrive transmissions mentioned in Case IH Puma AFS Connect and Case IH Magnum AFS Connect Series installed engines (e.g. Puma 260 CVXDrive, Magnum 400 PowerDrive - first comes tractor's engine name (Magnum 340, 380) and then transmission name (CVXDrive, PowerDrive)).
- It's strange that the updated version of John Deere 9RT Series which exists in IRL did not make its apperance in the series with 2 updated variants of 9R and 9RX, but 9RT Series tractor has its own folder, series9RT, where appear only files of its engine, hoses, interior, lights and scroll .dds files.
- The John Deere-based toy tractor featured in Farming Simulator 25 as a toy construction project on Riverbend Springs toy factory.
- Oak City mod map that released for Farming Simulator 25 includes John Deere plant.
- There's also newer version of John Deere cotton harvesters launched before Farming Simulator 25 - CP770 and CS770, which are successors of CP690 featured here.
- In June 2025, John Deere introduced their new F8 and F9 Series self-propelled forage harvesters that are successors of 9000 Series forage harvester.
