Krone BiG X 580/Farming Simulator 17

The Krone BiG X 580 is a Forage Harvester available in Farming Simulator 17. It is the medium of the three Forage Harvesters available in the base game. Its stronger engine solves all of the power and speed problems of the smaller Rostselmash RSM 1403, but the design of the BiG X 580 still causes some problems with large Forage Headers.

Advantages

• Comparatively Cheap: The BiG X 580 costs $99,000 less than the largest Forage Harvester, the New Holland FR850, while still being a rather powerful and useful model. Spending all that extra money just to get rid of a few minor problems may or may not be wasteful.

Disadvantages

• Awkward Header Attachment: The BiG X 580's Forage Header attachment point is tilted downwards at an angle that makes it somewhat uncomfortable to attach large Headers, like the New Holland 900SFI. They can still be attached, but may cause problems when maneuvering.
• Small Fuel Tank: The BiG X 580 has a relatively small Fuel Capacity relative to the power of its engine. It will need refilling rather often, compared to a similarly-powerful Tractor.
