The Thüringer Agrar (TAM) Leguan 24 is a type of Header Trailer in Farming Simulator 17. It is the second cheapest Header Trailer in the base game, and the cheapest one that is actually effective. It can carry mid-sized Grain Headers with ease, as well as most types of Forage Headers.
Advantages
- Cheap: The Leguan 24 is the second cheapest Header Trailer model in the base game, at only $4,000. However, given the disadvantages of the Krone Trailer, the Leguan 24 is actually the cheapest reliable header.
- Long: The Leguan 24 has a relatively long frame that can easily fit most Headers in the game, up to around 9.0 meters. It is possible to place even longer Headers on this trailer, though they can stick out the back or more easily fall off the frame.
- Strong Grip: The Leguan 24 exerts a respectable 500 points of "magnetic" force on the Header it is carrying, which is enough to hold most Headers in place when driving reasonably or even during low-speed collisions.
Disadvantages
- Not Fully Universal: Mounting a very long Headers on the Leguan 24 can be tricky. Its "magnetic" grip may not be strong enough to hold a very long header, and the header may cause trouble if it sticks out the rear of the frame. If you need to transport very long Headers, consider buying the TAM Leguan Quattro 40 instead.
- Somewhat Unstable: The Leguan 24 has a very wide wheel axle at the rear, but only a small single wheel at the front, mounted on a single leg. This makes it somewhat unstable during high-speed turns or on rough terrain, as it may tip over and allow the carried Header to drop to the ground, despite the strong magnet grip. Drive carefully.
